European based street and wedding photographer. Matej Florschütz was born in 1986 into a time that shaped his vision aestheticly and ideologically. Lifelong “observer role” made him aware of unnoticed street scenes and human interactions, a motive that is at a heart of his photographic expression. Originally a business economist with masters degree turned immediately to photography after graduating the college. 

In a world that is overrun by the instant gratification he chose a “slower” medium to express his perception of the world. Most of his work is shot on 35mm and medium format film, both in color and black and white. The process allowed him to slow down and pre visualise, giving his work an added value in todays fast paced surrounding. It is also a juxtaposition to his internationally awarded career of a wedding photographer with his wife Irina (more of their work is here).
